Stunning house and grounds as many other reviews have said - but there are snags if you're visiting on a day where a lot of others are too. We queued for over 30 minutes to get a car parking space - not ideal for children who have already sat in the car for 90 minutes. Both cafes had run out of hot food. There are inadequate baby changing facilities. Note to other parents with very young children - the terrain to/from the car park is quite challenging for small-wheeled buggies. The outdoor play area is great for slightly older children eg low ropes but there's nothing there for toddlers.

Really enjoyed the house and talks given by the volunteers. The cafe is very small and slow, it could do with an enlargement for the numbers of people who want to use it.

Lovely house and gardens. Home of Benjamin Desraeli and RAF secret services. Quite expensive to visit for a family if not members.

Lovely place to dog walking in the valley. Very ca and quiet place. We went apart from a season and it seems not much more flowers in the patches.

A very pleasant interlude on a rather dreary day, it rained but who cares. The war maps exhibition was excellent.
